I live at jurong west and and i stayed at a high floor. We just bought this flat. It’s at the 15 floor. When we just moved in, suddenly i had this strange feeling bout the house. I just ignore it and just did my own stuff. When i went to sleep, all of a sudden, i was disturb by a faint voice. It was not calling out my name but was saying out something else. It was calling out KUM….KUM… for a several times. I really could not get to sleep as the voice was disturbing me.

Suddenly, i remembered what my mom has told me. She told me that if unheard a voice coming out of nowhere, doh’t bother bout it and just go to sleep. But, i did not bother bout her advice and ask whose there calling out KUM,KUM. No one answered.

Then suddenly, the voice came back, but this time, it’s coming from my bedroom window. And also, this time it’s more louder and meaner. It seems that it wanted to enter my room. I just stared at my window as it was just infront of me. Then a shadow was emerging from below. There i saw it, a figure with a white dress covering the whole body and floating in mid-air at 15th floor. I didn’t think much and started murmuring my verses. It was still there and was staring at me for after 15 mins i was reciting my verses.

Suddenly, the figure gave out a loud scream and just disappeared into thin air. The scream she gave out broke my window glasses into pieces. When i woke up the next morning, i saw the broken pieces. I then fainted.

My uncle told me this story a few years back. It took place at jalan bahar. Be warned though… not recommended for the faint hearted. But who am i to stop you from reading it anyway…

It was as if a blizzard had ripped thru the area that nite. It was pouring non-stop and the gale was empowering. A couple, who had juz ended a nite of romance somewhere in town, was driving along that stretch of road at jalan bahar when the engine suddenly stopped. The fuel gauge read: E.

“.. Wah lao! I juz top up the petrol leh…!”, the man said.

“Aiyah juz walk a bit only.. got kiosk in front what… you go and get lah… I’m not going to push this car there hor.. up hill somemore!”, the woman responded.

“Hanna, Hanna, but still raining how?”, as he said that, the rain stopped almost suddenly. “Okok, i go, but you stay in here and lock all the doors hor.. don’t open the door to ANYONE!”

With that, he went off. Upon hearing that, the woman stayed put in her car. As the seconds ticked by, a terrible misty fog started to build up around the car. She couldn’t see anything at all. She began to tremble but kept telling herself to calm down. Juz as the mist was about to clear off…, *BOOM!*.. a loud thud banged on the roof of the car. She was so grapled by the sound, that she turned pale for a moment. She did not budge a muscle. She remembered not to open the door. All this while, she juz sat in the car, in cold sweat. Then, a car drove by, gestured her and pointing to the roof with a shocked expression and sped off hastily. Not 1 vehicle that passed her car dared to stop but did the same as the 1st car.

An hour gone by. She couldn’t take it anymore. Curiosity to find out what was on the roof of her car, overcame her. She stepped out, sloooowly lifted her head towards the roof. And what she saw would scar her for life…

It was her boyfriend’s HEAD! Bloodied and all…

The body was nowhere to be found till this day. Was it an act of savage by humans, or by spiritual powers? Then how can you explain the storm, the sudden halt of rain, the mist? …

Westlake Shadow Scouts – Act I

Posted in Jurong, Scary, Strange Incident on April 23, 2008 by hungzaibackup

It was a cool night, with skies that appear bloody red. It looked like it was gonna rain, but still, the roads remained dry at that moment.

We gathered at the bus stop in front of westlake. We were having our annual camp in school and were preparing for our nightwalk at Sime road cemetary. We took bus no. 93 and reached there soon after.

Everything was a breeze and after 2 hrs, we had completed our tresure hunt, only to realise that it was already 1+ in the morning. We had no bus to go back and our leaders decided to settle down for the night till the first bus comes.

All of us then settled down at the carpark to rest. Most of us fell asleep while we, the seniors were abruptly woken up by our leaders at 3. We were so ‘blur’ that we didn’t know what was going on. We just followed on…..

By now, the sky was clear and the bright moon shone down. We were told to go for our solo walk, which means walking alone alongside rows of graves! We totally freaked out, but at that time, the ‘Gung Ho’ thingy was on, so onward we went.

We set forth at a 5 minutes interval, and when you know it, it was my turn. I calmed myself down, looked straight and walk at briskly as I could.

All was serene then, until I saw a tree up ahead. I slowed down, strained my eyes in the dimly lit night at the tree. Slowly, a shape of an old man sitting down was made up. It was neither white, green nor red, as ghosts appeared that way, I think.

It looked normal at first, but as i closened my gap with that ‘thing’, I noticed it’s eyes was rather disturbing. It’s pupils were almost the eyes itself, and shone strangely as if it was giving off light by itself.

I was stunned…I couldn’t move, couldn’t scream for help nor run away. I stood there as though I was immobilised. That old man advanced, while I watched on helplessly…

He slowly took off his hat and revealed his face to me, to which I, by that time had already felt so weak at my knees that i was kneeling down. As a free-thinker, I had no religion to rely on or prayers to chant. I just hoped help would come soon.

Just as he was about to stretch out his hand to caress my face, voices came from behind. He withdrew quickly and slowly faded in front of me! At that point, i regained myself and turned back only to find 2 of my leaders staring at me blankly.

They too had witnessed the unholy. They helped me out of the cemetary to the carpark and gathered all the scouts to evauated that place immediately. We walked out of the cemetary and settled at the bus -stop, where we thought it would be safe.

but there was more to come….

(This story happened during 1999, when the cemetary at Sime Road was still there.)

Hey, me again. Yeah… i got another story to share with you guys. It was a friday nite and i had been invited to a friend’s bbq birthday party at west coast park. Well, it started at 7 and went all the way till midnite. I decided to leave at 10:30 cos i had encountered somethin eerie.

I was playing volleyball with a group of friends at the sand pitch above the beach. One of my friends hit the ball so hard that it flew into the sea. It was floating on the water. My friends decided to get it back, but i stayed at the corner of the sand pitch to watch.

I saw what i thought was the volleyball so i shouted to my friends to go over to retrieve it. But when they picked up the ball, it was actually a skull!!! It let out a high pitched scream and it seemed that we were the only ones who could hear it cos the other people were continuing to do what they were doing witout looking at us. My friends immdiately threw the skull into the sea and it sank with steam coming out.

Later on, we discovered that the volleyball had not actually dropped into the sea, but that one of my friends took the ball with him back to the bbq pit to get a drink., Funny thing was, he said he was at the pit when the incident happened around 9 pm. We thought it was a lie, but around 10 other ppl saw him at the pit too.

This incident happened to one of my friend who reside in one of jurong west’s flat. This incident took place when she’s back from school at about 3pm. As soon she entered her flat, she put down her school bag in her room and made her way to the rest room. Since she was the only one at home, she didn’t bother to shut the toilet door.

While she was doing her affairs in the toilet, out of sudden she saw a pair of feet walking past the masterbed room towards the living room. She couldn’t believe her eyes at what she just saw!!

As soon as she’s done with her business, she peeked at the living room to see whether that feet is still there or not? At the same time, she just want to make sure that she isn’t dreaming in the broad day light! The moment her eyes met the living room, she was horrified at she saw, the same pair of feet in the living room. Swiftly the feet went to the kitchen and without hesitation she followed that feet and when she reached the kitchen, she notice that the feet had vanished into the thin air. She did not inform her folks about this scary incident.

Another scary incident happened to her in the middle of the night. As she was sleeping soundly on her double decker bed, her bed was the top one, suddenly she felt that someone shook her bed with a great force. For once she thought that her younger brother was jesting with her but as she looked down to her brother, she realised that he was sound asleep. Immediately she thought to herself who could that be? She said some prayers and went to bed. That incident happened every night until one day she couldn’t take it anymore she told her parents about the whole scary incidents that she’d experienced.

She admit that her family is a free thinker and no one in her family ever prayed. That very afternoon her mom went to consult a medium and he claimed that the house is haunted and he gave her mom some amulets to stick on the doors and etc and from then on they have peaceful nights and days.

I like to relate another story about the people from the other side…where it happen?…at Blk 711, Clementi West St 2. People have said that that area is a little creepy.

My Aunt used to stay in that block several years back before moving out to another location. During her stay, not only her experienced some eerie encounters, but the whole family too.

My Aunt used to do a little ‘kueh’ business. She was always up in the middle of the night preparing the necessary stuffs. And she loves chatting over the phone, since she has some chatty friends(whatever time it is, she’ll just talk!). One unfateful night, while she was chatting, she saw this thing….an old lady, like a Nenek Kebayan(a Malay witch), tip-toeing from her room to the children’s bedroom, at the same time with short stops and looking around the house. She lastly looked at my aunt before entering the children’s bedroom. Of course my Aunt was shocked but thinking of the safety of her two children, she dashed in the bedroom only to find that they were soundly asleep. She recited some prayers to keep everyone in house safe.

Her husband, who usually return home after midnight after work, experienced some eerie incidents too. Most of the nights, he’ll be disturbed by the presence of the Pontianak, either laughing or crying and the strong scent of frangipani(which we know, is her ‘perfume’). People say that walking backwards will not make them follow us home, I know it sounds absurd but that’s what my Uncle do almost every night….from the void deck to the lift lobby and to his home.

This family used to have this popular chair called the peacock chair, one with really big back rest…alah….very popular lah last time…back to the story….she had it position it front of the living room window, opposite where she usually chit chat in the wee morning hours. She had seen a black figure looking at her. Neighbours had seen the Pontianak in her kitchen window, sitting on her clothes pole. Her daughter felt she was lifted up when she was in the toilet(during one of her red light season).

And ALL my relatives knew that the death of her 3rd child was the cause of the Pontianak. Every time during Maghrib(Muslim evening prayers’s time), when she was in her later months of pregnancy, she would feel excruciating pain..as if her stomach was forced to tuck in. Every time that happen, her scared children will be reading the Holy Quran beside her bed, hoping that nothing happen to thier mom. The baby(a girl) had died inside her before delivery time, with the unbilical cord around her neck. Though things like that happens…I think we all know that’s not quite the reason.

I dunno what the new owner’s had experienced but that unit #12 is sure scary……in fact, I think the whole area….

My HDB Flat

Posted in HDB, Jurong, Nightmare on April 22, 2008 by hungzaibackup

I still remember when my office phone rang,my wife was on the line saying that she spotted a maisonette in The Strait Time and it was in Jurong West St42 Blk 547 and the price was attractive!!.So we arranged a viewing with the agent and bought it on the spot!.

A little bit of history I’m going to mentioned so that if you came across similiar case do consider carefully. When we viewed the flat, we found that it was renovated extensively and we were told that the owner only stayed for a short while and moved out. When their rented shop unit from HDB arrived, they move to stayed upstairs the unit. Indeed, we did found that it was true when we went over to the shop to placed a deposit and signed the sale & purchase agreement. But we found out later that the owner had the shop all along and they moved out for some reasons.

As the owner had bought the flats from HDB direct, they can’t sell the flat yet(5 yrs rule) so they moved out to a rented flat and later rented a shop unit. I came to know from neighbours later and that more that 10 families had came & went during these time. So please checked with the surrounding neighbours before you purchased a flat which now I learn. Ok! now I will listed all the incidences happened during my two and the half years there.

1) As you know, maisonette go two levels, all the rooms are upstair. As I was watching TV in the hall, I used to see several times a black shadow darting at the stairs.

2) One night after watching TV alone, I think it was about 2.00am and I was walking past the stairs to go upstair to sleep, I heard a voice(very clear) calling me “Papa!” once and instinctly I turn my head to my left where the voice came from. My whole body went cold when there was nothing there at all!. My wife and only daughter were sleeping soundly upstair.

3) It was in the afternoon, my wife was washing her hair in the toilet upstair. As she was sitting on the stool bending forward holding the shower above her head washing her hair. Suddenly, she felt that someone gave her a hard push above her head. She unable to see that time coz her eyes was covered with shampoo. Then immediately, she open her eyes and call out to my daughter. She found that my daughter was indeed downstair playing in the hall all the time.

4) It was when a new neighbour moved in next door and when they came over to get to know us. My wife was at the gate chatting with them. And my daughter and I was watching TV in the hall. The next evening after dinner in the hawker centre, we met them in the lift. Then, during our conversation, they mentioned, “Where is your boy?” We told them that we only got a daughter but they insisted that they saw themself, my daughter in the hall watching TV and there was a boy at the staircase playing and he was about 5 yrs old!!. Both husband & wife saw that!.

5) There was one evening at about 10.00pm. I was having my bath upstair then when I turn to face the wall behind me, I got a shocked!! There was a transparent figure like a human (don’t know gal or guy) moved from one wall to another!. I was shaking like a leave and naturally used the hot shower spray and spray to that direction. Nothing happen at all so I quickly rushed out.

6) This last one is the final straw we able to take before we moved out to our private apartment which happened the tenancy just expires.(Pls note: can only sell after two & the half years for resale flat). I forgot to mentioned that all this time during the night when we are sleeping in our locked master bedroom, we always heard noises like someone twisting our room handle and trying to open the door. I did checked many times to no avail.

Ok!…One evening after watching TV, we all went upstair to sleep. As we entered our masteroom, I wanted to switch on the TV in the room to continue watching the program. We all got a shock! There was a pair of deep lighted shinning blue eyes on the TV screen. The TV was not even switch on!!. Just to make sure is not a fault, I even pull out the plug from the socket!!. The pair of eyes was still there!!.

So all of us rush to the second guestroom and locked ourself inside. Both my wife and daughter are crying like shit. I was also shivering but had to put up a brave front. While they fallen asleep later, I stayed up till morning. Guess what?….We moved that morning!!.

This is a true incidences witness by three of us! Email me if you have any questions. Take care when hunting for a home.

Old Technical Block of CSS

Posted in Jurong, School, Spooky on April 22, 2008 by hungzaibackup

This story kinda passed on from my seniors and my old former teacher in CSS.

CSS was situated at Jurong East after Queensway(I heard the Old CSS at Queensway is even fcuked up,i think thats why they moved). So the story goes like this…

Usually during the junes holidays, there will be the CLUBs having school camp. One of my senior friend was in NPCC.One night on thursday night i think(Thursday night!Whoa!!!)my friends and his posies went to play around the technical block.Have a smoke and relax. Then my friend, don’t know where got the idea and said to his friends. “Hey wanna check out the technical block?”The others without thinking said okay.Wah!Steadylah thursday night also can…Okay they was outside the technical room and they had to find a way in.I don’t even know why they want to get inside for.

When they was about to “break-in”,they heard a rather familiar sound or should i say some kind of music. The sound was coming from the room.I don’t know why in the !@#!@# they could think of going there in the first place. The noise was somekind produce by the hitting and knocking made by the tools. They heard hammers hitting against the table.Heard sawing and other stuff u might heard in the technical lab done by the students during the day.The noise somehow musically sounded like our CSS School Song…By the time they discovered it.They quickly ran like crazy.I think they must be probably shitted and pissed in their own pants.Haahahahaha..

They kept quiet about it.I think they slept together that night.Might be a gay vacation?hehehe. The next morning, they told their NCOs i think and consulted the teacher. Then the teacher told them that it happened quite long time ago.He said that last time the music teacher composed the song near the technical block because the music class was in front of the technical block. And last time the site of the technical block was an old abandoned chinese cemetery i think. So they assume the souls was listening to it and was just singing just to have fun…(ghost also wanna have some fun and creativity)…

But now the school was later taken over by Jurongville Sec Sch. Good Luck to them i guess.Hope the students they can have a musically fun time with the technical block ghost!!!

Boon Lay

Posted in Jurong, Mild on April 21, 2008 by hungzaibackup

This story was told by my auntie and uncle and it is a ture story that happened 1993 @ Boon Lay Blk 186 & the story goes like this….

There was a family who lived at 10th floor and its a malay family. One day the old lady was going to have her prayer and she took a bath and washed some part of the body(for her prayers). When she had finished her bathe, she slipped and fell inside the toilet. She died.

After she was buried, that night she came back to her house and eat all the food in the kitchen! And her sons and daughter were surprised to see her back and they took a broom and chase her away. She took revenge by making her sons & daughter naked.(they all were in possessed when they were naked)

Then one of the ustaz(a religious teacher)came and read some prayers to chase the “SATAN” away. When they regain conscious, they were surprised that they were naked and quickly they went to their room and wore their clothes. The ustaz then asked them “Did your mother kept something before she died?” Then they said “Yes”.

One of my uncle told me that she had some black magic and that thing won’t go away until he found another master. When there’s no one wants to looked after that thing, he went to the whole blk and disturb the whole resident by scratching their door but the scratch mark was not found on the door! Some of the resident moved away and some of them still stays on.

But now the place was not so noisy and my uncle told me that she had returned to her neither world.

Jurong Port

Posted in Jurong, Mild, Strange Incident on April 21, 2008 by hungzaibackup

This story was told to me by my cousin and I believe her because Jurong Port is a well known place for sightings. I’ve been there for jogs a few time and the place is indeed eerie. After this story, I stopped jogging there for good.

Late one evening, she and a group of her friends decided to go to Jurong Port to relax and hang out. They were sitting on two benches facing each other when one of her friends saw a couple jogging from a distance. They were hidden behind tall bushes and so could only see their faces. They were wearing white caps and nothing seemed weird then.

But at the exact moment, they heard jiggling of bells and it seemed to get louder each time. As the couple got nearer, her friend realised that they weren’t exactly jogging but more to jumping towards them. When the couple came into full view, he realised that they were pochongs and they were jumping nearer to them. The white ‘caps’ he saw they wore were actually the white cloths they were wrapped in. (by the way, jiggling of bells are often associated with female pochongs, not sure why). He managed to point them out to his friends and without hesitation, ran away. Lucky for them, the ‘things’ didn’t follow them back.
